25in. nitro barrel engraved in gothic script 'JOHN RIGBY & CO. 32. KING'S ST. LONDON. S.W.', block mounted matt folding leaf sights with white metal inlaid sight lines and marked for 100 and 300 yards, block-mounted bead fore-sight with protector, transitional action (with thumb cutout) mounted with a Swarovski Habicht 2,2-9x42 Nova telescopic sight in quickly-detachable mounts, the rings engraved 'J. RIGBY & CO. .275 RIGBY NO. 6019', receiver ring engraved 'RIGBY .275 HIGH VELOCITY', floorplate with military style release, Timney trigger, semi-pistolgrip stock with sling eyes, 15 1/8in. pull including steel buttplate, in its full length canvas and leather case, the Rigby trade label with hand-written name and address in ink 'The Earl of Lanesborough. Provenance: The vendors have kindly confirmed that the rifle was made and delivered in April 1956 for a Mr Kleinwort (of Kleinwort Benson banking).

Other Notes: The vendor kindly informs us that when he purchased the rifle he had the telescopic sight mounted by Ronald Wharton in 2005
