30in. nitro reproved Greener trademark fine damascus barrels with broad tapered finely file cut rib finely engraved with a vignette of a stricken snipe, the tubes engraved 'W.W. GREENER. 68. HAYMARKET. LONDON. DEPOT UNIQUE 8 AVENUE DE L'OPERA A PARIS. WINNER AT ALL THE LONDON GUN TRIALS. 1875. 1877. 1878 & 1879', the breech ends with ornate acanthus scroll and floral designs, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 3/4 choke, scroll-back action with arcaded fences, the toplever gold-inlaid with a crown, manual side-safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, the action and furniture profusely engraved with fine floral and scroll engraving with oak leaf and acorn bordering, the action sides with vignettes of hound and fowl, the underside with two rabbits, the triggerguard with two pointers and the safety housing with a lone pigeon, retaining slight traces of original colour-hardening, 14in. well-figured stock with ornate chequering borders and inset horn drop points, sling eyes and horn buttplate, the fore-end with ornate chequering borders, Deeley & Edge patent release catch and horn finial, weight 6lb. 11oz., in a brass-cornered oak and leather case with light green velveteen lining and gold-tooled red leather trade label
