A BOXED LIMITED EDITION PONIARD, MODEL 'OLYMPIC GAMES COMMEMORATIVE',
manufactured in 1996, with polished narrow 10 3/4in. blade etched with a flowing banner marked with the names and dates of every Olympic games from '1896' to '1996' and the manufacturer's trademark on one side, the reverse similar but with the names and dates of every Winter Olympics from '1924' to '1994', carved and moulded gilt cross-guard in the form of an eagle with spread drooping wings, the wing-tips terminating in laurel leaves and berries, smooth walnut grip swelling just below the centre, the end-piece with carved bishops mitre pommel, not supplied with a scabbard, complete with its red leatherette box with satin lined lid bearing the Wilkinson trademark, the tray lined in burgundy velvet, appearing unused
