A 54-BORE PERCUSSION SINGLE-ACTION SIDE-HAMMER REVOLVER, MODEL 'KERR'S PATENT', serial no. 9336,
circa 1856, with 4in. blued octagonal sighted barrel engraved with scrolls along the top side-flats and a band of foliage at the muzzle, borderline engraved top-strap, plain blued cylinder engraved with a roped band at the front edge, blued borderline engraved frame signed 'KERR'S PATENT 9336' (refreshed), blued borderline engraved back-action lock, chequered walnut butt (minor chips), borderline engraved pommel with lanyard ring and retaining traces of blued finish, hinged under-barrel rammer, and much of an older re-blued finish throughout (some loss to engraved detail)
