EDINBURGH', open sights with one folding leaf sight, white metal inlaid sight lines and marked for 150 and 300 yards, bead fore-sight, Henry patent rifling with Adams & Tait number 2597, carved percussion fences, non-rebounding island locks with bolted hammers (one spur missing), border and fine acanthus scroll engraving, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 14 1/4in. (historic replacement) pistolgrip stock with steel pistolgrip-cap, missing escutcheon, fore-end with cross-pin release and horn finial insert, weight 9lb. 14oz.
