28in. nitro barrels with 8mm ventilated matt top-rib, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, hold-open toplever, manual safety with integral barrel selector switch, gold-washed single trigger, the action and furniture carved in relief with acanthus scrollwork on a matt background interspersed with gold-highlighted vignettes of of black duck alighting on the left, the right with gold-accented fowl flushed from their naturalistic habitat, the underside with a brace of duck in flight and inlaid 'BLACK DUCK 159 OF 500 ANAS RUBRIPES', all in gold, the triggerguard with a further gold-highlighted portrait of a black duck, 14 1/4in. highly figured semi-pistolgrip stock, the chequering with ornate aliform borders, weight 8lb.
