MILLER PATENT MAY 23, 1865' and 'MERIDEN MAN.FG. CO. MERIDEN. CONN.', bevel-edged lock-plate from the original musket with modified hammer and signed 'PARKERS, SNOW & CO. U.S. CONN.' together with the 'U.S.' eagle device, walnut three-quarter stock with iron furniture, two iron barrel-bands, brass nose-cap and iron clearing rod
