dated 1864, with iron 30in. two-groove rifled barrel, applied fore-sight, rear-sight with one standing and one folding leaf, scarce variant bayonet bar with central locking notch mounted on the right side of muzzle, borderline engraved bar-action lock marked 'ENFIELD' together with the date, an Indian government mark and a 'V.R.' crown device, walnut full-stock (old repairs to cracks at wrist) with brass furniture including large patch-box to right hand side of butt, iron stirrup swivels and period iron under-barrel ramrod (woodwork with wear and repairs, light staining to iron surfaces) and complete with a period brass hilted bayonet with leaf shaped blade for same, no scabbard
