dated for 1879 with re-work in 1888, round 20in. barrel with octagonal breech-section, iron nose-cape with integral fore-sight blade and side protectors, small elevating ladder rear-sight, octagonal receiver with turned down bolt handle and rear-mounted flag safety, walnut full-stock (refinished), iron furniture including heel-plate (marked on the face '6.D.2.113.'), trigger-guard and barrel-band with saddle-ring, slight traces of finish, all matching numbers
