A GILT-MOUNTED VICTORIAN SWORD-CANE,
circa 1895, with straight narrow square section 23 1/2in. blade, plain cane shaft and hilt, the hilt with gilt collar embossed with scrolls on a stippled background and featuring a central oval vacant escutcheon panel, the grip-piece formed of knobbly chestnut, the reversed taper pommel also embossed with similar scrolls formed in overlapping panels with plain borders, the domed cap with spiral effect
