dated for 1878, with 19 1/4in. blued barrel, no bayonet lug, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight fitted with reproduction leather protector, flip open MKII breech-block, the nocksform stamped 'K.T. 67', plain lock signed 'B.S.A. & M. Co.' and with the date, a crown over 'E.I.C' device at tail, plain walnut half stock with brass heel-plate with central trapdoor, the fore-end with single iron barrel-band and no provision for clearing rod, brass trigger guard with chained pin protector and retaining traces of finish throughout
