ENGLAND.' and gold-inlaid '.577NE', scroll-back action with removable striker discs, manual beetle-back safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, the action and fences carved in high relief with stylised acanthus and leaf motifs, the makers name in scrolling banners to the sides, the underside carved in relief with an African bull elephant and three Weaver birds, bright finish overall (some rust spotting), rear trigger/left firing mechanism at fault, 14 3/4in. pistolgrip stock with pistolgrip-cap and buttplate, bolstered fore-end, weight 15lb.
