MARTIN SCOTT & SONS LTD.
A GAME-SCENE ENGRAVED 12-BORE SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 5126,
30in. nitro reproved barrels, rib engraved 'MARTIN SCOTT. ST. MARY'S ROW. BIRMINGHAM.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/2 choke, automatic safety, action, lockplates and furniture profusely engraved with fine acanthus scroll engraving, surrounding oval vignettes of game birds and waterfowl in flight and afoot, bright finish overall, some screws and pins with blued finish, 14 3/4in. figured stock including 5/8in. rubber recoil pad, weight 6lb. 9oz.

Other Notes: Martin Scott was part of the W. & C. Scott dynasty, eldest son of Charles Scott (of W. & C.) and was Works manager at Scott's in 1876.
After the amalgamation with Webley in 1897, Martin declined a position in the new company, preferring instead to set up Martin Scott & Sons. A relatively short lived exercise, the company seems to be non-existent by 1908.
