A RARE 32-BORE FLINTLOCK DOUBLE-BARRELLED BRASS SASH-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1775, with 6in. side-by-side barrels signed on the top-rib 'PREVOTEAU, PARIS', engraved bands at the breech-end, deep eared sighting groove to the border engraved top-tang, radiused borderline engraved locks signed 'PREVOTEAU', carved points to the tails and raised and moulded hammer bases, carved mounts to the pans, plain hammers and engraved frizzens, walnut full-stock florally carved around the top-tang and with carved borders around the furniture (repaired crack to right hand side of fore-end tip), engraved brass long-eared butt-cap, carved and engraved pillar-fronted brass trigger-guard tang and bow and later replacement brass-tipped wood ramrod
