for 1855, with 7 1/2in. octagonal barrel signed on the top 'ADDRESS COL. COLT LONDON', the left hand side of barrel-mount with London proofs and a 'W.D' broad arrow device, six-shot cylinder scrubbed of scene, open iron frame marked 'COLTS PATENT', iron grip-straps, smooth walnut grip (traces of an ordnance stamp to top right hand side), all matching numbers except wedge, re-finished with some areas of caustic cleaning
