for 1900, commercial model with scarce 7 1/2in. barrel signed on two lines and with the patent date 1884, the left side of barrel marked 'NEW SERVICE 455 ELEY', blued solid frame with swing-out fluted cylinder, the sideplate marked with the Colt Stallion trademark encircled by 'COLT'S NEW SERVICE', chequered hard rubber grips embossed with the word 'COLT' at head and lanyard swivel at heel, retaining the majority of its factory blued finish.
