30in. nitro chopperlump barrels with solid tapered matt top-ribs, gold-inlaid at the breech ends '1' and '2', side ribs, the over barrels engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS. LONDON. ENGLAND.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, hold-open toplevers relief-engraved and gold-inlaid '1' and '2', rounded bar actions with short stepped side-bolsters, automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details and gold-inlaid foliate motifs to the catches, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, rolled-edge triggerguards, fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets and with gold-inlaid stylised floral line detailing to the action, lockplates and furniture, the lockplates gold-inlaid with the makers name, retaining some original colour-hardening, the fore-end irons and furniture decorated en suite and gold-inlaid 'PURDEY', 14 5/8in. very highly-figured pistolgrip stocks with engraved and colour-hardened steel pistolgrip-caps, No.2 stock with minor crack to left underhorn, right underhorn with forward insert (by Purdey's), weight 7lb. 9oz., in their lightweight leather motor case
