A 16-BORE PERCUSSION SPORTING GUN CONVERTED FROM FLINTLOCK BY GREEN, PICKERING & CO. CIRCA 1810, no visible serial number, with 32 in. three stage barrel the breech with inset gold poincon, and two gold bands, the barrel converted to percussion by the drum and nipple system, bevelled edged lock with leaf border decoration, stepped tail also with leaf engraving, the lock also engraved with martial trophies, two sunbursts and the makers name 'GREEN PICKERING & CO', the hammer with quality foliate scroll engraving, half stocked in walnut with chequered wrist (worn) and cheek rest, fitted with foliate engraved iron mounts, one old repair to forend and a small piece slivered out of top edge, no ramrod, in its day a quality gun.
