A .48 FLINTLOCK POCKET PISTOL BY G. GOODWIN CIRCA 1815, no visible serial number, with 2 in turn-off barrel, brass round bodied action engraved 'G. GOODWIN & Co. / LONDON', central flint-cock, sliding bar safety and folding trigger, one piece walnut bag shaped grips with vacant white metal escutcheon, the grips with small repair where it joins action on lower left side.
Provenance: The maker George Goodwin was established at 2 Ann St. Birmingham circa 1807 to 1817 and also traded as G. Goodwin & Co. 1807 to 1818.
