BIRMINGHAM.' (very faint), 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, Anson & Deeley 1875 patent barrel cocking action, patent no. 1756, use number 4557, incorporating William Powell patent lift-up toplever, patent no. 1163 of 7th May 1864, use number 2374, automatic safety (at fault) with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, acanthus scroll engraving, 14 1/4in. replacement stock, bolstered fore-end, weight 5lb. 9oz.
