A 16-BORE PERCUSSION UNDER-HAMMER 'MAN-STOPPER' BOOT-PISTOL, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number, circa 1840, possibly originally part of a combination set or poachers gun, with turn-off heavy octagonal barrel, engraved boxlock under-hammer action with unguarded trigger, crooked walnut butt fitted with a plate for a detachable butt-stock (missing, darkly stained)
