A PATTERN 1821 ARTILLERY OFFICER'S SWORD
circa 1850, with 29in. double-fullered blade etched with scrolls, with cannon and 'HAC' (Honourable Artillery Company) on one side and 'VR' crown and sun-burst on other, marked 'T. WARREN / 23 / CURISTOR St / LONDON' (Operated from that address 1846-1861), and brass 'PROOVED' slug in ricasso, fish-skin grip with copper wire, brass pommel and back-strap, folding brass guard, flattened and distorted, together with rusted and dented steel scabbard, 35 1/2in. overall
