JOSEPH HARKOM & SON 12-BORE BOXLOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 2086, with extra barrels, circa 1895, original 27 1/8in. shortened nitro reproved damascus barrels, the rib re-engraved 'JOSEPH HARKOM & SON. 30 GEORGE STREET EDINBURGH', and '1' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and true cyl, bore dimensions marginal, some pits;
extra 27in. nitro barrels (London proof 1979) with no visible serial number, the rib engraved 'JOSEPH HARKOM & SON. 30, GEORGE STREET, EDINBURGH', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and imp. cyl. choke, characteristic Harkom treble-grip action with carved serpentine fences, toplever engraved '2', automatic safety (requires attention), missing 'SAFE' plaque, intercepting sears, the flats marked 'DEELEY'S PATENT EJECTOR 2886' and 'ANSON & DEELEY'S PATENT 11733', ejectors require attention, profusely engraved with fine acanthus scrollwork, brushed bright finish, 16 1/8in. stock (cracks at hand) including 2 1/8in wooden extension, fore-end with minor losses, missing iron retaining screw, weight 6lb. 13oz. (damascus) and 6lb. 15oz. (steel), in a leather case with Williams & Powell 25 South Castle Street address paper trade label (provision for one set of barrels only)
