Continental, probably French, with straight 22 1/4in. blade, narrow fuller along the back-edge, the forte engraved wit a stag and other ornament, moulded brass cross-guard, smooth horn grip stained in imitation of tortoiseshell and brass pommel, blade darkly stained with loss to detail
