presentation dated 1917, 32 1/2 in. blade fullered with scroll and GRV cypher etching to both sides, one side engraved with 'PRESENTED TO H. J. KEEBLE BY THE OFFICERS / AND MEN OF THE HACKNEY METROPOLITAN POLICE / ON HIS OBTAINING A COMMISSION IN / THE ROYAL FUSILIERS 9.7.17', brass proved plug to one side of ricasso and 'BY WARRANT / HENRY / WILKINSON / PA;LL MALL / LONDON' to the other, plated pierced bowl guard with GRV cypher, black fish-skin grip bound with white metal wire, together with its steel plated scabbard, blade with some staining, wear to the grip, lifting to the plating on the guard and scabbard
