A US MODEL 1860 STAFF AND FIELD OFFICER'S SWORD, circa 1863, with 30 1/2in. double-edged blade etched both sides with floral decorations, faint manufacturer's details etched to ricasso ('RADABO / & Co / NEWTOR / N.Y.' ??) martial symbols and USA with eagle, double-shell brass guard folding to one side, wooden grip with black fish-skin bound by brass wire, together with its steel scabbard with brass fittings and suspension loops, etching rubbed, grip and pommel loose, losses to grip, spring missing from shell-guard, wear and rust to scabbard
