circa 1860s, with30 1/2 in. double-fullered blade etched with scroll-work and ' V R' With crown, brass proof plug in ricasso, brass Gothic hilt inset with V R cypher, wire-bound fishskin grip, plated scabbard, blade plating flaking towards the hilt, guard slightly pushed in, rust spots on the scabbard and plating flaked from chape, 39 1/2 in. overall
