late 1880s, with 24 in. leaf blade showing some grazing, crown over '20' on ricasso and crown over '18' on pommel inspection marks. pommel and frog stud engraved with 'V / ExE 1 / 87' brass fittings with shallow denting, leaf spring damaged and rusted, scabbard with some flaking, 29 1/4 in. overall
