dated 4 - 16 with Winchester manufacturer's code to one side of the ricasso, and British inspection marks, Broad Arrow and bend-test 'X' to the other side, black leather scabbard similarly marked, together with an original brown leather scabbard, much original paint, some light surface rust but would appear to be unissued, 23 1/2 in. overall
