AN 18-BORE CONTINENTAL PERCUSSION SINGLE-BARRELLED SPORTING GUN SIGNED 'SANTANDER' and dated for 1850, with 34in. barrel silver inlaid at breech 'SANTANDER POR JOSE GRANIELA ANO 1850', platinum line at breech, flat, slightly curved back-action lock engraved with loose scrolls, scroll engraved hammer, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, iron furniture, later ramrod (stained throughout)
