A 16-BORE PINFIRE DOUBLE BARRELLED SPORTING GUN SIGNED 'JOSEPH LANG, serial no. 2248 circa 1868, with twist steel 29 3/4in barrels, scroll engraved top-tang and 'Lang's Patent' underlever action, border and scroll back-action locks with the makers name incorporated in a banner, dolphin head hammers en-suite with the locks, chequered 14 1/4in. stock, (inlet repair to wood at end of top tang, crack behind right lock), silver vacant oval escutcheon to underside of stock, scroll and border engraved trigger guard tang and bow, chequered walnut forend wood with sliding key fastener (front trigger blade missing, the whole worn throughout)
