U.S.A. PATENTED OCT 11 1887, APRIL 2 1889, AUGUST 1 1893', the breech end with calibre marking, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, adjustable buckhorn rear sight, plain receiver marked on the top 'MARLIN SAFETY', provision for peep-sight to top-tang (sight absent), the tang also with model designation 'MODEL 1894', walnut straight-hand butt-stock with steel crescent buttplate, squared finger-lever, plain walnut half-fore-end and full length under-barrel magazine-tube, slight traces of finish, 13in. pull, weight 7lb. 10oz.
