A GROUP OF THREE FRENCH BAYONETS, comprising 1 - a Model 1874 for the Gras rifle dated 1877, with 20 1/2 in. plain steel blade with inspection marks on ricasso and St Etienne Arsenal script on the back, steel cross-guard and quillion, wooden grips and brass pommel, blade with smoothed pitting, hilt worn overall, cross-guard, quillion and rivits heavily rusted, leaf-spring frozen, no scabbard, 25 1/2 in. overall; 2 - Model 1842 dated 1871 with steel blade fullered each side, inspection marks to ricasso, indistinct arsenal script on back, inspection marks on quillon and issue number on cross-guard, brass hilt, blade and cross-guard rusted and pitted, hilt worn, no scabbard, 27 1/2 in. overall; 3 - as #2, but date indistinct and with a dented and heavily rusted and pitted scabbard, 28 in. overall
