A 12-BORE FLINTLOCK FOWLING-PIECE, no visible serial number,
circa 1770, with round 41 1/2in. slightly swamped barrel, applied white-metal fore-sight (rubbed flat), London proofs and makers mark at breech, carved sighting groove to top-tang, flat bevel-edged lock signed 'JOYNER' (faint), pointed tail with large sliding safe, walnut full-stock (cracked through in antiquity with plated repair to side-cheek), handrail grip, brass furniture, vase finial, turned ramrod pipes and replacement ramrod
