circa 1884, 28 1/2in. black powder only reproved bold damascus barrel (in 2023, serial number applied by the London Proof House) with raised concave file-cut rib, 2 3/4in. chamber, bored approx. full choke, August L. Larsen and C.E. Winterros patent action, patent no. 26814 of 6th October 1883 (recorded in British Small Arms patents under agent W.R. Lake as no. 5935 of 29th December 1883), scrolling maple leaf engraving, rotating plate marked 'LARSEN & WINTERROS PATENT', lever locking mechanism, 14in. pistolgrip stock including steel buttplate, horn pistolgrip-cap and fore-end finial, weight 8lb. 4oz.
