NEW-HAVEN CONN U.S.A.', dove-tailed nickel-bladed fore-sight, elevating buckhorn rear-sight, slab-sided top-eject action (slight play on take-down joint), top tang marked 'MODEL 1894' over 'WINCHESTER', over 'PAT AUG 21. 1894', straight hand walnut butt-stock with crescent heel-plate, plain fore-end (woodwork refreshed), full-length magazine tube with takedown lever at tip, eyelets for a Winchester sling (absent), light traces only of faded finish
