for 1865, 28 3/4in. nitro reproved damascus barrels (in 2007), rib engraved 'THOMAS HORSLEY. MAKER. YORK. PATENT 2410', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. in both, Horsley patent bar-in-wood action incorporating barrel bolting patent No. 2410 of 1st October 1863, carved percussion fences, rebounding sidelocks with carved dolphin hammers, border and acanthus scroll engraving, brushed finish, 14in. stock including steel buttplate, weight 6lb. 9oz., in its makers oak and leather case
