circa 1800, with brass two-stage octagonal to round 14in. barrel, shallow flaring off-set banded muzzle, moulded girdle band, the top-flat at breech signed 'LONDON', engraved iron top-tang, borderline engraved bevel edged lock signed 'BECKWITH' below the semi rainproof pan, floral engraved detail to the stepped tail, sliding safe behind the swan-necked cock, walnut full-stock with shotgun style butt skip-chequered at the wrist, brass furniture, two cupped sidenails and brass-tipped mahogany ramrod, together with a later turned wooden tompion
